Helmut Marko makes it clear that Red Bull will not disappear from F-1 “in the near future”

BERLIN, 30 Nov. (dpa/EP) –

Helmut Mark, advisor to the Red Bull Formula 1 team, is clear that “nobody has to worry” about the continuity in the ‘great circus’ “in the near future” after the changes that have arisen in the energy drink companies with the death of Dietrich Mateschitz.

“Our success speaks for itself, nobody has to worry that Red Bull will disappear from Formula 1 in the near future. We are far from having finished our mission, we want to win more races and titles,” Marko said in an interview with the magazine. ‘Sport Bild’ published this Wednesday.

Following the death last October of company founder Dietrich Mateschitz, Oliver Mintzlaff had moved from Bundesliga soccer team RB Leipzig to one of the company’s three CEO positions and since mid-November He is responsible for Red Bull’s sports activities in soccer, ice hockey and Formula 1, among others.

“Our greatest asset has always been that we have a lot of smart people who don’t need a supervisory board meeting before starting something. We’ll see what that looks like in the future, how we split up for it and what role Mr. Mintzlaff plays in this, we will discuss it in the coming weeks,” Marko stressed.

On the other hand, facing the next season, the advisor of the Austrian team sees Mercedes as the strongest rival and not Ferrari. “But I’m not worried, we are on a good path for 2023 and with Max (Verstappen) we have the best driver in the World Cup,” he settled.
