Heads and tails for the Italians Berrettini and Fognini

Heads and tails for Italians Mateo Berrettini, first favorite, and Fabio Fognini, third, in the ATP of Antalya (Turkey), with the victory of the first and defeat of the second in the round of 16.

Berrettini, 10th in the world, beat the Bulgarian from the qualifying round, Dimitar Kuzmanov, 6-2, 6-3 in 68 minutes, while Fognini was eliminated by 33-year-old French veteran Jeremy Chardy, in a very tough match, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (1) and 7-6 (5) almost three hours.

Also in the quarters is the Bulgarian Alexander Bublik, fourth seed, after beating the Italian Tristan Lamasine, 6-2, 6-4. Bublik and Berretini will meet in quarters.

The German Jan-Lennard Struff qualified directly for the quarterfinals without playing, due to an absence due to injury to the Italian Hugo Grenier. The German will be Chardy's rival, in the quarterfinals.
