Harry destroys Carlos III in his first months of reign: the duke’s “destructive” memories come “at the worst time”

For a few hours the date of publication of the memories of the Prince Harry: next January 10, 2023. Narrated experiences that come at the worst possible time for the British crown: just four months after the death of Isabel II and with Charles III practically newly ascended to the throne.

On the cover appears the son of Diana of Wales looking straight ahead with some desolation. The book is called Spare. Quite a statement of intent, since the name refers to the famous phrase “the heir and the replacement”. Some significant words that define his life as a brother of William of Englandwith whom he still hasn’t ironed out his rough edges, and also with the rest of the British crown, from which he left with his wife in March 2020.

If the interview of Harry and Meghan Markle con Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 he already gave something to talk about because of the harsh statements of both, from this new book no less is expected. So much so that in Buckingham they would be “very worried” about the publication of these memoirs, “especially since these are the first months of the reign of King Charles”, he points out in Page Six royal house writer and commentator Richard Fitzwilliams. “The consequences of this will be far-reaching and can be highly destructive,” he says.

In this sense, the journalist and public relations expert Mark Borkowsk adds in the same publication: “For the new king, who is still planning his coronation, this could not have come at a worse time.” Thus, the author and publicist predicts the worst, because he does not believe that Harry will go scot-free after this: “Carlos’s retaliation could include not giving his children their titles of prince and princess, and even withdrawing his own titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.

In addition, they sense that the queen consort, Camilla, will also look bad in this book. This would be what bothers Carlos III the most. “It’s one thing for Harry to attack Charles; he can take it on the chin. But if Harry forces him to choose, by harassing Camilla in his book, I have no doubt that he will choose Camilla,” sources close to the man confessed. Daily Best.

On the other hand, in the Daily Mail They point out that the lawyers of the British royal family are already prepared. They think that Harry’s statements will be “critical of everyone and everything”. Like the rest, the royals learned this Thursday the date of the publication of the book.

Spare

The synopsis advances that Meghan’s husband opens the channel and leaves nothing in the inkwell: “A remarkably moving personal journey from trauma to healing, which speaks of the power of love and that will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world”.

As expected, the death of Lady Di is one of the main themes of his “literary memoirs”. “As Diana, Princess of Wales, was veiled, many wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling – and how their lives would unfold from then on,” notes Penguin Random House.

“For Harry, this is finally his story” and, in it, he does not ignore other determining episodes of his life and his present with Meghan and their two children, the little ones Archie y Lilibet Diana. In this way, it traces “his life in public scrutiny from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to public service, the military duty that took him twice to the front lines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in his role as husband and father.”

The book, which the son of Prince Charles has written “with raw and unwavering honesty”, will be published just four months after Elizabeth II’s death. Its launch was scheduled for this year, although precisely for this reason it was postponed.

Nor the death of his grandfather, Philip of Edinburgh, in April of last year, nor that of his grandmother, in September, have managed to ease their relationship. Although in both farewells they remained united by protocol and out of respect for the family and the British people, the reality remains quite different.
