Hajime Moriyasu extends his contract as Japan coach until the 2026 World Cup

TOKIO, 28 Dic. (STATS Perform/dpa/EP) –

The Japan Football Association (AJF) confirmed on Wednesday the continuity of Hajime Moriyasu as senior men’s coach until the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

This renewal of confidence is a reward for Moriyasu’s good work at the helm of the ‘Blue Samurai’, who, although they were eliminated on penalties in the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar by Croatia, were able to defeat in the group stage Germany and Spain.
