Haidara would be the first to win the Champions and Youth League

Amadou Haidara (31-01-1998, Mali) has within his reach an achievement that no footballer on the planet has achieved so far. The footballer of RB Leipzig could be the first to conquer the Champions League and that he has previously done the same with the UEFA Youth League (the mini Champions created by UEFA in 2013 for teams in the youth category).

A historical milestone of the few that remain to be achieved in the world of football. Nobody to date has been able to add both titles. La Youth League began its journey in the 2013-2014 campaign with the victory of Barcelona, which had in its ranks footballers like Adama, Sanabria or Munir (which alternated the Barça first team with the subsidiary in the 2015 Champions League). To the following campaign, fwas Chelsea the winner, which repeated victory a season later (2015-2016). In those teams stood out Solanke, Musonda, Boga, Tammy Abraham, Loftus-Cheek, Tomori or Mount. In the 2016-2017 season, there was the big surprise to date, Red Bull Salzburg's triumph against João Félix's Benfica. In the Austrian team stood out Igor (now in Fiorentina), Daka and Amadou Haidara. The African media joined the ranks of Leipzig in 2019 and that in this strange edition of the Champions League, he is only two games away from European glory. If winning the Champions League with Leipzig would already be quite a feat, Achieving it has a double prize for Haidara.

The Malian player found it difficult to adapt to Leipzig but little by little he has more minutes. Shortly before landing in the German team, he suffered a severe knee ligament injury that kept him out for a while and that disrupted his plans. After the stoppage due to the coronavirus, the midfielder has been convincing Nagelsmann who has bet more for their participation. He even went out on the pitch as a refreshment player for a few minutes in the vital quarter-final clash against Atlético de Madrid. Now achieving this milestone would be an extra satisfaction.
