Gutiérrez has a luxury reinforcement: Ante Coric

Against Coric he has hardly had prominence this season at Almería. However, José María Gutiérrez awaits his return like May water. The Croatian sprained his knee in the last match of 2019; in fact, he spent the Christmas period in Almería lands to work on his recovery with the rojiblanco coaching staff. He carried out a conservative treatment, promoting quadriceps and avoiding impacts with the aim of avoiding inflammation from the synovial fluid. Before Almería stopped its training due to the coronavirus, the '19' already carried out some exercises with the group, expecting their medical discharge shortly.

And if José María Gutiérrez expects his return like May water, it is because he believes that he can contribute a lot to the Indian team despite having a surplus in the engine room. Once adapted to the team and the city, the Balkan can be a differential footballer in the last days of competition if it finally ends up being disputed. In the Almerian locker room they know the quality of Coric from what is seen in training, his teammates being aware that as soon as he picks up the competitive rhythm he will excel, either as a midfielder at 1-4-4-2 or inside in the 1-4-3-3.

Despite having played only a dozen league matches (in which his team has only won three times), part of the rojiblanca fans already consider him 'uno di noi', knowing that the footballer of just 22 years can give enough glory evenings. The Croatian is already integrated, uploading a video to social networks after the rout against Deportivo in which he celebrated the victory while dancing with enough art.

Almería paid 400,000 euros to Roma last summer for their loan during a course. Of course, the rojiblanca entity has a purchase option, around six million euros. In fact, the director general of the Almería club and the visible face of the sheik, Mohamed El Assy, stated that they would buy Ante Coric once the transfer expires. Thus, the Croatian seeks his opportunity in the final stretch of the season to try to record his name in a possible promotion of Almería.
