Ilkay Gündogan has tested positive for coronavirus within hours of the Premier League for Manchster City. The German footballer is the third player in the squad to test positive in recent days, after the confirmed cases of Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez.
In a statement, Manchester City confirmed Gündogan's positive: “You will be in a period of isolation for 10 days in accordance with the British government quarantine protocols. Everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery. “
