Guitián suffers from traumatic bone edema in his left ankle

Medical tests carried out on Zaragoza footballer Alberto Guitián show that he suffers from a “traumatic bone edema in the posterior third of the calcaneus” that will take him several weeks away from the playing fields, according to the Aragonese club.

The Cantabrian defender had been dragging discomfort in his left ankle after a fortuitous blow in training.

The symptoms have worsened in recent days, forcing him to even play undercover against Alcorcón.
