MADRID, 25 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish swimmers Guillem Pujol and Aida Bertran have conquered this Sunday the 113th edition of the Nadal Cup, a classic that is celebrated on the morning of Christmas Day in the port of Barcelona, in a test in which the record of swimmers was broken, with the participation of 129 women.
In the absolute male category, Guillem Pujol was the winner for the ninth time in a row. The CN Mataró swimmer confirmed his favoritism and is already close to the historical record of the Olympian Dani Serra, who totaled 10 victories between 1984 and 2013.
For her part, in the absolute female category, Aida Bertran won, thus dethroning Laura Rodríguez, the champion of the last four editions. The one from CE Mediterrani gave the surprise and won the test again after doing it in 2014 for the last time.
The Nadal Cup brought together more than 400 participants this Sunday -some dressed as Santa Claus and for Christmas reasons- in an emblematic event in the ‘Ciudad Condal’ that has been held since 1907 and is organized by the Club Natació Barcelona.
