MADRID, 12 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Izan Guevara (Kalex), current champion of the Moto3 category, will start his season in the Moto2 category at the Grand Prix of the Americas, already recovered from his wrist injury, although “not one hundred percent”, Therefore, the objective is “to improve the sensations every day”, according to a statement from the Aspar Team.

“Izan Guevara, recovered from his injury, will debut in Moto2 in Austin,” the team reported in its note, after the Spaniard suffered at the end of March “an injury to the triangular ligament of his right wrist”, which prevented him from being in the first two races on the calendar, in his first year in Moto2.

Absent in the Grand Prix of Portimao (Portugal) and in Argentina, Guevara acknowledged that he returns “with a lot of desire”. “With the injury it was very uncomfortable for me to drive and in the end it was necessary to undergo surgery. I arrive in Austin with enthusiasm after two lost races,” said the young driver in statements published by his team.

“The recovery has gone well and we have been able to return as soon as possible. We are not one hundred percent for our debut in Moto2, but we will try to improve our sensations every day”, concluded Guevara, who was replaced in the first two races by Jordi Torres .
