Guedes: “The break was good for me, the injury doesn't hurt anymore”

There are few players who have benefited from the halt of competitions, but Valencian player Gonçalo Guedes is sure to be one of them. A misdiagnosed injury to his foot kept him in the dry dock for many months, and when he returned, shortly before the competitions were suspended, he was still in pain.

“The break for me was good because I was painless from the injury I had, I did a good job during the quarantine and the truth is that now I am very well,” he said.

And he has plans for these eleven days that remain. “I want to return to make the greatest number of goals, to give assists and make great games to help the team. It has not been easy with the two injuries I have had here, but they are already part of the past and now we have to face the present and the future, I am ready to help as much as possible, ”he assured.

The Portuguese, with a new face, pointed out that they must face these eleven days “as if they were final and try to give their best to finish in a Champions position.”

“We are very well, all the people did a very serious and good job, but we know it will be difficult because of the heat, for example, here in Valencia. After several months of hiatus without competing it is never easy, we know that we are going to have many difficulties, but we have to overcome them, “he said.

Guedes said they are grateful to retake the League with a derby with Levante. “For us, in terms of confidence is better, we are going to try to make a good result, achieve victory, that no one is injured and everything goes well,” he asked.

“For the fans it will be a difficult time, because they cannot support the team in the stadium, but we will try to do our best for when people see us on television and feel proud and see that we are giving everything for the club, doing everything possible to achieve the objective, “he reiterated.
