Gudelj: “I would give everything to be with my colleagues in Germany”

Nemanja Gudelj, a Sevilla player who tested positive for coronavirus and who is isolated at home, keeping quarantine but without symptoms, has assured that he would give anything to be with his teammates in Germany, living the hours before the match against the Roma of eighth-finals of the Europa League.

“I feel perfectly, and the family, too. I spend the maximum time in the room and train twice a day so that the time passes faster, because the days get long. I'm asymptomatic, you don't feel anything, you feel normal, but the test came … The worst thing is that I feel strong and I can't be there until it comes out negative. The body asks me to train and do things, so I work here to maintain physical condition for when I return, be as prepared as possible, “said the player from his home

The Serbian added that he is overwhelmed by the encouragement received in all this time. “I have noticed an incredible affection, and that a player appreciates it very much. I want to thank everyone, all of Seville, for the encouragement they have sent me, because that helps me recover as soon as possible. From the club I have also noticed the love and support of everyone. It was to my colleagues to the first that I sent them the message to say that I came out positive, and to the second they were all cheering me on, they ask me how I am daily, the president, José María, Monchi, coaches … They all support me a lot and my colleagues They tell me they miss me, as I miss them, “said the midfielder.

Gudelj has also encouraged his teammates and has assured that he is sure that Sevilla will pass the tie. “You can't miss it, we deserve to win because of everything we've been through, how the guys have had to train after my positive, separated… This shows how strong the group is. It is a single match and we want to win. I would give it my all to be there with them. It is a competition that has been won five times and you want to win the sixth. We have quality in the group, a very good atmosphere, we are a family. And that, sometimes, takes you further than just the quality. This team and this club can do many things. It will be a very tough game, the two teams played outside, but I think that we, with the confidence and ambition we have, can and will win. I have full confidence in our team. They are hungry to win this match and come back with a win. And, from there, go game by game. The confidence they give me is enough to know that we are going to give it our all in this match and that we are going to die on the field to win it ”.
