Guardiola defends Arteta: “It would be a big mistake to throw him out”

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola assured that Arsenal would make “a big mistake” if they decided to fire Mikel Arteta due to the poor results achieved in the last two months.

The London team were eliminated this Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the League Cup when they lost 1-4 against Manchester City, extending a winless streak that began on November 1, if you do not count Europe League.

“I'm sure they will trust him,” Guardiola said after the game. “They would make a big mistake if they thought of firing him. It is only a matter of time before I get it right ”, added the Catalan on whom he was his disciple.

Arteta is experiencing his worst moment since he took over the Arsenal bench just a year ago. The Gipuzkoan does not find the key to make the team work and from England it is pointed out that he could even lose the position.

Until this bad run, the Spaniard had been able to excite the 'gunner' fans by winning the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
