When there are children at home, Christmas is always more special and intense. That is what charlene from monaco and the prince Albert II have demonstrated with the extraordinary decoration chosen for the Grimaldi palace during these festivities. To the amazement and enjoyment of their children, the little prince twins Jacques y Gabriellaand of all the children of the principality who have been invited to the palace, the central courtyard of the building has been transformed into a world of ice and fantasy.
Charlene from Monaco inaugurated this week the traditional Christmas decoration at the Grimaldi Palace, accompanied by her husband Alberto and their two children, who just turned eight years old and served as hosts together with their parents. The princely family received this Wednesday afternoon all the children between the ages of 5 and 12 from the small Mediterranean state and, of course, also Santa Claus.
The visit included collecting toys and sweets for the little ones, who were delighted with the surprise of the decoration. The yard had been transformed into a little corner of the North Pole with rabbits, reindeer, penguins, polar bears, and lots of Christmas trees.
Charlene has especially enjoyed this day with her children and the rest of the country’s children, after having a very difficult time due to the serious ear, throat and nose infection she suffered while in South Africa.
In recent statements to the Monegasque media, the wife of Prince Albert II stated that “she is much better and in much less pain”, which has allowed her to gradually resume her public life accompanying her husband, although, for her “her family is his pillar,” he said.
