The austrian Michael Gregoritsch, author today of the second goal against North macedonia, said through tears that the triumph of his team, the first in the history of the Eurocup, “it was fantastic”.
“This goal is the best for me, it was a very difficult year for me. I dedicate this goal to all those who have believed in me, it was fantastic ”, said the forward of the Augsburg German to Austrian television ORF, visibly moved and with tears in his eyes.
“I think we dominated the whole game, we conceded a goal due to our own error, but in the second half we were able to defend better and avoid the contractors,” he concluded Gregoritsch, who entered the second half of the match.
Austria won their first Group C match against North macedonia 3-1, with goals from Stefan Lainer, Michael Gregoritsch and Marko Arnautovic, while the Macedonian Goran Pandev scored the only goal for the Balkans.
