Green light for the IPO of the first Spanish soccer team, Intercity

Valencia

The CF Intercity of San Juan de Alicante already has everything ready to go out on the market next Friday and become the first Spanish soccer team to be listed on the market. A goal that it has pursued since 2017, when it adopted its current name.

The Market Coordination and Incorporations Committee has sent the board of directors a favorable evaluation report on compliance with the incorporation requirements of the Intercity Football Club once all the documentation submitted has been studied. A procedure that involves definitively clearing the exit to BME Growth.

The company’s board of directors has taken a price of 1.20 euros per share as a reference for the beginning of the trading of the shares, which coincides with the one agreed in the last corporate operations that the company has carried out just before its incorporation to the market.

Currently, Intercity has a first male team that competes in the RFEF 2nd Division (the fourth overall division of Spanish football), a female team in the Valencian Primera Regional, a male “B” team in the Primera Regional, a beach soccer team who plays in the Mediterranean League and a youth soccer school in San Juan de Alicante, where it is based.

Its first shareholder and president is Salvador Martí, co-founder of another firm listed in the same market, Facephi, dedicated to facial recognition technology, and promoter of the IPO to be able to finance the club so that it reaches the Second Division.

Pre Market Environment

Likewise, Intercity is the third company to join BME Growth from the Pre-Market Environment. This BME program accompanies companies on their way to the stock markets with training and help in their adaptation to make the leap. There are already 25 companies that have joined this initiative along with 18 other partners who help in the formation of companies.

With its incorporation, scheduled for next Friday, it will be the thirteenth company to join BME Growth this year.

The company’s trading code will be “CITY”. The company’s registered advisor is Deloitte, while GVC Gaesco will act as the liquidity provider.
