Granada renews Ángel, the goalkeeper of the future, until 2024

After confirming from the club itself that Rui Silva will not continue next season (the Portuguese goalkeeper has been committed to Betis for five seasons), Granada has made an intelligent move that, in the future, may be of extraordinary importance. It has renewed its youth goalkeeper Ángel Jiménez until June 30, 2024.

This promising goalkeeper has entered a preliminary call facilitated by the U19 coach, Santi Denia, which attests to its tremendous potential and evolution. After starting with the youth team came the unexpected opportunity to debut in First. It was because of a coronavirus outbreak that quarantined a large part of the staff and coaching staff. Ángel was at a great level and even stopped a penalty to William José.

Ángel Jiménez Gallego (Maracena –Granada., June 22, 2002) joined the club eight seasons ago. He began his stage in the juvenile category and in this same campaign he has made his debut with Recreativo Granada. With the subsidiary he accumulates 180 minutes in two games against Murcia and Sevilla Atlético. Granada has managed to tie up who may be the goalkeeper of the future.
