Granada, full with its 90th anniversary

The Granada, together with Caja Rural and Fundación Caja Rural Granada They have organized an exhibition where representative objects of the club's history are displayed. This is one of the central events scheduled this year to mark the 90th anniversary of the club, which is experiencing one of the best moments in its history.

In the sample you can see significant pieces such as the original statutes of the club's 1931 constitution, the founding act, the first Book of Members, the Andalusian Sports Medal, balls, gloves and shin guards from the 30s, t-shirts from the 70s, historical stickers or a recreation of the old Los Cármenes dressing room. The exhibition features pieces owned by Granada CF and others from private collections that have been loaned for this special occasion by Jesús Hurtado, Juan Carlos Ruiz and Jaime Esteban. All this will be open to the public so that they can enjoy so much and rich Granada history.

The opening ceremony was attended by the president of Caja Rural and its Foundation, Antonio León Serrano, who highlighted that “Caja Rural and its Foundation are once again the soul of a magnificent exhibition that summarizes the history of Granada CF; although, probably, the best in the history of the club we are living today. I wish the best is yet to come ”.

Granada counselor Patricia Rodríguez, thanked the support provided by Caja Rural and had a memory for the rojiblanca fans: “The most important thing is in the street, they are all the people who we hope will come to see the exhibition and hopefully it will be the turning point to have them closer of us. We have missed them very much ”.

On behalf of Caja Rural, Gerónimo Luque, general director; José Joaquín Moral, Head of Marketing; Jorge Lechuga, Head of Insurance; José Aurelio Hernández, Business Director; and Poli Servián, head of Fundación Caja Rural Granada. The Granada delegation was completed by José Macanás, institutional representative and the coach, Diego Martinez.

Granada has promoted this great event in a brilliant moment of its sporting career. After overcoming a tremendous bump that lasted 34 years, with prolonged stays in Second B and four years in Third, the team knew how to come back and now has achieved its second stay in the First Division after having made history by qualifying for no less than the quarterfinals of the Europa League where a powerful Manchester United knew how to compete face to face.
