Granada and Alavés live a direct duel to catch air

MADRID, 2 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Granada and Deportivo Alavés will be in charge this Friday of opening the sixteenth day of LaLiga Santander 2021-2022 with an important direct duel at Nuevo Los Cármenes (9:00 p.m.) in the face of their aspirations to catch air with respect to the relegation zone .

The Granada team is sixteenth classified with 12 points, two behind Vitoria, fifteenth, and therefore both need victory to avoid falling to the ‘burning’ if their rivals add triumphs this weekend.

Those of Robert Moreno, who solved with authority their premiere cupbearer against Laguna (0-7), have not won for three days, but the draw in San Mamés can give them morale in their attempt to become strong in their stadium, where they are costing to be solid and where until now only Sevilla (1-0) has fallen.

For their part, those of Javi Calleja, who also surpassed their debut in the Cup against Unami (0-3), saw the good dynamics they had last day slow down when they fell in Mendizorrotza against Celta and returned to stay close to relegation. Joselu’s goals are his best weapon to add for the fourth consecutive outing.

Robert Moreno will not be able to count on Montoro or Germán Sánchez for sanction, although this is also one of the many injured along with Duarte, Víctor Díaz, Rochina, Machís and Isma Ruiz, so Torrente and Abraham would form the center of the rear While the good news is the recovery of Luis Milla, who could even start.

Javi Calleja, meanwhile, is still unable to count on defender Ximo Navarro and will also have the absence in Nuevo Los Cármenes of left-back Rubén Duarte, whose place in the eleven should go to Javi López.
