Granada CF announced this Friday the signing of Spanish midfielder Gonzalo Villar, from AS Roma, although he has been on loan at Sampdoria and Getafe for the last season and a half.
“The Granada Football Club and AS Roma have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Gonzalo Villar to the rojiblanco team,” says the official statement of the Andalusian team.
Villar, 25, trained in the youth ranks of Valencia CF, from where he joined Elche CF in 2018. In 2020 he signed for Roma but failed to find a place in the Serie A team, on loan to Getafe , Sampdoria and again to the Madrid team in January 2023.
“The club welcomes Gonzalo Villar as a new Granada Club de Fútbol player, as well as wishes him the best of luck on his arrival at the rojiblanca entity”, adds the note from the Nasrid team, which returns to LaLiga this season EA Sports, Spanish First Division.
