Goalkeeper Sergio Rico’s wife recovers her smile after the last medical report: “He is a champion”

Good news about the state of health of Sergio Ricoadmitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital since last May 28, after suffering a blow to the head from a runaway horse in El Rocío (Huelva).

His wife, Alba Silvahas made it clear to the press that her husband is no longer sedated and that he has regained consciousness, although he did not want to go into many details: “Yes, little by little it is going and I knew from the beginning that it was going to move forward because he’s a champion.”

As confirmed by the doctors, the athlete suffered a head injury that had caused several injuries, so once he arrived at the hospital they sedated him and induced a coma to try to stop the damage. Given his seriousness, his family had decided not to make any further statements until now.

The truth is that the journalist has recovered her smile this Monday after seeing her husband’s improvement. In addition, she took advantage of the microphones of Europa Press to thank the hospital staff: “Thanks to the hospital and the health personnel who are behaving incredible not only with Sergio but with all the patients and, truly, thanks to them and thanks to God, to everyone who helped us He has sent a lot of strength, we are moving forward and I am much more encouraged”.
