Go for the most difficult yet: Cádiz has never won in Seville

Cádiz plays it all or nothing in the last five days. Sergio’s team is fighting for permanence with Mallorca, Granada, Levante and Alavés (these last two in a critical situation). Although the yellows are currently one point above relegation, which is marked by Granada, with 30 units, they cannot be trusted and it is time to add as soon as possible. At La Tacita de Plata we firmly believe that the goal will be achieved and for this, they are already looking with optimism at the first rival of the remaining five finals: Sevilla.

It is never placid to face Lopetegui’s team and even more so if they have not yet secured the objective of second place. The people from Seville, with no chance of winning the League, are in third position with the same points as Barcelona (second) and only two more than Atlético (fourth). Therefore the game is expected to be tough. The results of Cádiz against Sevilla do not, a priori, invite optimism. The yellows have not beaten Seville since 2006when they beat them in King’s Cup Match, in the first leg of the round of 16, in Carranza. A 3-2 that served them to go to the round quarterfinals (the return ended 0-0). Mirosavljevic, Medina and Martí, at their own goal; they put the 3-0 on the scoreboard, before Kanouté, with a double, left the final 3-2.

The problem is not Cádiz, where the people from Cádiz have won six wins, five draws and ten defeats against Sevilla. The problem is the Sánchez Pizjuán, a stadium in which they have never won. The yellows have played a total of 20 games there throughout their history, recording seven draws and 13 defeats. In fact, in these 20 visits, he has scored seven goals; and in the last seven, only one. The last goal was from Álvaro García, now at Rayo, in 2018 (Copa del Rey, round of 16). The last time Cádiz scored points in Seville was in the 2005-06 season, the previous time the Cadiz were in the First Division. In this course the result was 0-0.
