Girona FC confirmed this Monday the signing of the Peruvian center-back Alexander Callans, who arrives from New York City FC and has signed for the Girona team for the remainder of the season and for another two.
Callans, who will not occupy a non-EU position as he has Spanish nationality, will coincide in the locker room with the Argentine forward ‘Taty’ Castellanos, with whom he shared a dressing room in the New York team, and with the Venezuelan midfielder Yangel Herrera, with whom he did it in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
In addition, the international center back with Peru knows Spanish football since in the summer of 2011 he signed for Real Sociedad ‘B’ and made his debut with the first team in a Copa del Rey tie, while he also spent two seasons in the Numancia.
