Giménez does not travel to Manchester

MADRID, 4 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

Atlético de Madrid defender José María Giménez will not be available for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals that the rojiblancos play this Tuesday against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium due to unspecified discomfort.

The Uruguayan center-back withdrew in the final minutes of the LaLiga Santander match at the Wanda Metropolitano against Deportivo Alavés (4-1) due “to some inconvenience”, according to the mattress club, which has not explained what kind of mishap it is about.

“The red and white medical services carried out different tests on him and finally he does not travel to England. The evolution of his discomfort will mark his return to group work,” reported the Madrid entity.
