Gil Manzano does not referee the second half due to injury

Gil Manzano could not referee the second half of Real Madrid-Alavés due to injury. The referee suffered a crash with Lucas Pérez and had to be attended to during the hydration break in the first half. The collegiate needs a comprehensive bandage to finish the first part, although with a visible limp.

The set occurred in the 25th minute. The referee was following an attacking play by Alavés, when suddenly Lucas Pérez collided with him and twisted his left ankle.

During the break, the referee was again attended by Real Madrid's medical services to try to recover him for the second half. Despite the referee's effort, he could not lead the second half and was the fourth referee. The Alicante Héctor Rodríguez Carpallo was in charge of taking over from Gil Manzano to referee the second half.
