Getafe contacts Mendilibar

Bordalás had one more year of contract with Getafe, but his future passes through Valencia, a club with which he has already reached an agreement. That vacancy left by the Alicante coach has given rise to several rumors about his possible candidate, but at the moment the best positioned is Mendilibar, who has the approval of the Azulón president. The Granada coach, Diego Martínez, is another of the names that have been linked to the Getafense bench, but the Galician coach's option has lost options due to his doubts, so Mendilibar has become the main candidate to occupy the bench at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum.

Mendilibar is one of the most experienced active coaches in the elite of Spanish football. Not in vain, he has directed in the First division Valladolid, Athletic, Osasuna and Eibar, with a total of 436 games. If the contacts with Ángel Torres bear fruit, Getafe will be his fifth team as a coach in the highest category of Spanish football.
