Getafe and Elche share their hunger

The game did not have the best football but, football things, it did bring a lot of emotions. Actions that looked like penalties were not called, penalties that were signaled did not seem so and the VAR rectifying the referee Hernández Hernández in two plays that could decide the result. In the end, the correcting factor for all the injustices was Edgar Badía, Elche goalkeeper who stopped Ángel from a penalty in the 84th minute and who maintained the final draw. A point does not fill the stomach or Getafe or Elche. Cast of hunger.

The match got off to a hot start. At 16 seconds came the first foul. Both involuntary and painful. Pere Milla slipped away when trying to cut with the band with the bad luck that, when he fell and put his hand on the ground, just at that moment and in that same place Iglesias, the kid from the subsidiary who was the starter at Getafe yesterday, was landing on the same spot as the two right-backs, Damien and Nyom, were sanctioned.

After five minutes, Kubo asked for a penalty. A push from Verdú was to blame. The Japanese jumped to control the ball with his chest and did well, but when he landed, he received the contact from the back of the Elche defender. Legal charge or penalty? The referee did not see it as punishable on the field and neither did it appear to them from the VAR, since Medié Jiménez understood that the action was interpretive and that therefore he should not enter to analyze it, respecting the impression that Hernández Hernández had on the pitch.

Pere Milla's hand turned red with that initial stomp, but it was Pere Milla who put his face colorá Getafe when in minute 20 'he scored the 0-1. That did hurt and not just for an instant. The goal came from a foul put into play from the left side. Calvo prolonged it with a head and, at the far post and a dribble early, Verdú crossed, placing the ball half a meter from the goal line where Pere Mila. As a timely finisher, he put his foot in to push with his soul and clinch until the ball was embedded in the net.

The 0-1 came from a set piece as a set piece could also reach the 0-2, in a header by Boyé (27 ') after a free kick by Tete Morente. The 0-1 reassured Elche more than a cargo of linden, so Escribá gave the initiative to Getafe knowing that possession of the ball is not the greatest strength of the Bordalás team.

However, in a blue attack action, Iglesias went through the entire band until he reached the area. His hard and dry shot was deflected by Badía, the clearance fell to Cucurella, who put the ball into the heart of the area and there, after a rebound, the referee interpreted a penalty from Calvo to Ünal. He whistled it. From the VAR, Medié Jiménez invited him to review the play. When Hernández Hernández supervised the replay on the monitor, he rectified and said that, from a penalty, nothing at all.

After the break, the first danger was a free kick taken by Take Kubo at 55 '. With intention but too focused. Five minutes later, Ünal made it 1-1 writhing from the ground after a cross from Kubo. Ünal's goal not only meant a draw, it relieved Getafe from the relegation tombstone and gave air to their lungs.

In the 81st minute, Ángel asked for a penalty from Verdú. Hernández Hernández did not appreciate it live but they warned him from the VAR. After reviewing the monitor, the referee said yes, this time there was a penalty. Second time that the VAR corrected Hernández Hernández on a penalty. Launched Angel. Paradón de Badía. Game over.
