Germany, Spain’s rival in the Women’s Eurobasket quarterfinals

MADRID, 20 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German team will be the obstacle for Spain to enter the fight for the medals in the Eurobasket that is taking place in Israel and Slovenia after beating Slovakia 79-69 on Tuesday in their tie.

The German team will face Miguel Méndez’s this Thursday in the quarterfinals, a round that they are entering for the first time since 1997, after a duel that they were able to control thanks to their defense and the sensational game by Marie Gülich, author of 26 points and 9 rebounds, keys to take off 18 points in the final stretch of the third quarter.
