Germany keep Löw in charge after 6-0

The leadership of the German federation (DFB) has made a decision regarding the future of Joachim Löw and sees him able to continue leading the Mannschaft despite the historic debacle against the Spanish National Team (6-0). As reported in the newspaper Bild in its online version, lThe decision was communicated to the German coach at an emergency meeting in which the president, Fritz Keller, the manager, Oliver Bierhoff and Löw's second, Marcus Sorg, participated. after landing this Wednesday at Munich airport.

Always according to Bild, the directive of the DFB crossed out what happened in La Cartuja as “occasional puncture” and will continue to bet on Löw, who could be seen smoking a cigarette outside the terminal. The coach himself, who has been in charge of the Mannschaft since 2006, did not even consider his resignation and sees himself with the strength to continue building a team that can fight for the European Championship next year. He already hinted, as soon as he was beaten against Luis Enrique's men, that his intention was to continue.

We have to draw conclusions from this. A young team like this has the capacity to develop in such a way that we have a high performance and most competitive team in the future. I am convinced of it “, the coach stressed at the post-match press conference. The sports management will begin with the analysis of the highest defeat of a German team in nine decades already, keeping, once again, Löw in charge. And in spite of numerous critics who called for his immediate cessation.

It was also expressed Jürgen Klinsmann, German coach between 2004 and 2006 who had Löw as his second. The former striker supported his predecessor in office according to statements collected by ESPN and asked the fans for patience. “There is absolutely no need for a new technician. It would mean going completely crazy. What kind of message would that be? Klinsmann explained and added: “From my point of view there is no reason to panic or opt for a new coach.”
