Generali will promote a new edition of the inclusive race ‘A goal for all’ on May 26

MADRID, 20 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Generali will organize on May 26 in Madrid the fifteenth edition of the Race for Inclusion ‘A goal for all’, until now known as ‘Liberty Race’ and which will run through the most emblematic streets of the center of the capital in favor of inclusion of people with disabilities through sport, as reported by the Spanish Paralympic Committee.

Through the streets of Madrid, thousands of runners, with and without disabilities, will participate together in the race with the shared objective of promoting a more inclusive society and supporting high-performance sports development in people with disabilities.

Registration is now open at www.carreraporlainclusion.es to compete in a race where this year Generali assumes its momentum as part of its commitment to the active promotion of diversity and inclusion with the aim of increasing participation and giving visibility to the Paralympic talent a few months before the Paris Games. In 2023, the event managed to bring together more than 6,000 runners and the record of participants with disabilities in the history of the race was broken with nearly 550 people.

“We are very proud to continue promoting this event that brings together runners and fans, with and without disabilities, to walk the streets of Madrid. I am excited to see how we all participate and run for the same goal: moving towards a more just, inclusive society and diverse, in which people with disabilities have the same opportunities,” said Carlos Escudero, CEO of the Generali Group in Spain.

The race has tests for all ages and abilities, the main one being the 10 kilometer one that will start at 9:00 a.m. on Calle Goya, where the finish line will also be found, and will run through the most emblematic points of the center of Madrid such as the Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de la Cibeles, Paseo de la Castellana or the Santiago Bernabéu stadium among others. Later, the Race of Improvement and children’s races by age will be held.

The race will be held, as has been traditional, to benefit the Paralympic Athletics Promise Team, an initiative of the CPE to facilitate and promote access to elite sports practice for boys and girls with disabilities throughout Spanish territory. The team was created in 2012 with the aim of ensuring that anyone could compete and develop in the world of athletics in our country.

Each registration, for the 10 km format, has a cost of 15.6 euros (8.6 if done from March 18 to April 8, 10.6 if done from April 9 to 30 and 12.6 if it is from May 1 to 19) and can be done through www.carreraporlainclusion.es until Wednesday, May 22 at 11:59 p.m. and at the Corridor Fair of the Sports Plant of El Corte Inglés de Goya, on Friday May 24 and Saturday, May 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

So far, the editions of the Race for Inclusion have contributed more than 280,000 euros to the team. Three euros from each registration will be donated to the Paralympic Athletics Promise Team; while the euro that costs child registration will also be allocated in full to this project.
