The Spanish power forward Usman Garuba contributed this morning for the Houston Rockets as the first option in the rotation in his position, despite the defeat (114-131) against the Utah Jazz, while Santi Aldama had a bad night with the Memphis Grizzlies and was left scoreless in the win (115-123) over the Orlando Magic.
Garuba added 4 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in the 15 minutes he enjoyed on the track at the Toyota Center in Houston. It is the eighth consecutive game scoring for the Spanish in a Rockets without too many qualifying goals: last in the West (10-29) and only one victory in the last 12 games.
In the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen was the most outstanding with 49 points, a 15/27 in field goals, a 6/15 in triples and a 7/7 in free throws. Utah is tenth in the fight for promotion to the ‘Play-Offs’, with a balance of 20-21, after five games without winning.
Finally, Aldama had a bad performance, from the bench, in his more than 12 minutes of play against the Magic. Already recovered from an ankle injury, he was left without scoring for the first time this course, missing all four of his attempts. However, he was able to add 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Ja Morant (32 points) was once again decisive in a Grizzlies who are still leaders in the West (25-13) and have five consecutive wins.
