Garrote wins gold and García Abella silver on the Elzach World Cup route

MADRID, 15 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish adapted cycling team experienced a third day this Saturday that was also prolific in terms of medals at the Elzach World Cup (Germany), thanks to Sergio Garrote’s gold and Gonzalo García Abella’s silver.

Spain accumulates eight medals in the absence of the final day on Sunday. Garrote achieved a spectacular gold beating the Frenchman Florian Jouanny, Olympic gold in the road race and double winner last week in Ostend.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo García Abella completed a very solid race, remaining in second place at all times, only surpassed by the Italian Giorgio Farroni. The Spaniard achieved silver, the same as he already achieved in the time trial.
