García Albiol, admitted urgently for a heart problem: “I have to slow down”

Major scare this Monday for the mayor of Badalona. Xavier García Albiol, 56 years old, has been admitted urgently for a heart problem from which he is progressing favorably. It was precisely the PP councilor who was in charge of breaking the news through social networks: “I have had a heart problem and I will have to be hospitalized for 24 hours.”

In a video without filters or censorship from the hospital bed, the politician explained: “Everything is more or less under control but I have to remain under observation and this forces me to dismantle a good part of my schedule for the next week. You will not see me in many activities for this reason”. García Albiol continued: “I have to slow down because they have told me that I have a very high pace and I cannot reach all the places I am reaching and that I would like to continue reaching because that is why you elected me as mayor.”

With humor, he assures that he will attend the opening of the Sant Jordi Fair this Tuesday: “I will go out through this door and go, and if not, they will stop me.” And he adds: “I will be able to continue living a normal life, playing sports the way I like and visiting all the neighborhoods of Badalona.”

The mayor, who thanked the treatment received by the hospital professionals, has a very special ‘nurse’: his wife, Vanessa Carcassonne. The couple said “I do” in 2002 and are parents of twins, Sandro and Nadia (16). They live in an apartment in Les Corts, a neighborhood in Barcelona, ​​owned by her parents.
