Gabriel Paulista: “We have to come back better than we finished”

At Valencia they are clear: they must raise the level they showed in the last month of competition before the break for the coronavirus if they want to move up to fourth position and repeat in the Champions League. And that must start this Friday in the derby against Levante.

“It is a very important match, a derby. The fans do not want to lose any game and we still want to enter the game as if it were a final and come back better than we finished all this. We are going to do as much as possible to achieve our goal, ”said Gabriel Paulista. Gayà spoke in this sense.

“You have to think that we are four points from the Champions zone and there are many days left and yes we can, the team is quite motivated to get to play the Champions League next season,” added the Brazilian.

Paulista said that they must “face these eleven matches as if they were final” and that he himself tries to remind his teammates “that there is little left, then we will enjoy next season a lot if we play the Champions League, because there is no other competition that will give you more desire to play ”.

These were the words of Gabriel Paulista

The Brazilian assumes that the objective is seen as an obligation

But the center back assumed that the goal is seen as an obligation. “We have a very big fans that want the team to always win. We know the shirt we wear and we are preparing ourselves, not only on the field, also mentally, to compete as much as possible to achieve the goal we want, “he recalled.

That mental preparation includes assuming that it will be played in empty stadiums and in his case without the important encouragement of Mestalla.

“It is different by not feeling them at the stadium, we are going to try to give the fans a joy because they deserve it a lot too,” he stressed.

“They will not be able to be inside the stadium, but always, not only me, we see messages on the social networks of encouragement and that we can, that helps you,” said the center.
