from Victoria diamonds from Sweden to topazes from Sofia Hellqvist

Stockholm has dressed up once again to celebrate the delivery of its most famous awards, the Nobel. The entire royal family attended the event, in which the King Carl Gustav of Sweden has been in charge of delivering their titles to the honorees. The royal ladies, decked out for the occasion, have captured all eyes with their haute couture dresses and the most exquisite pieces from the royal jeweler, such as the Fringe tiara worn by the princess victoriaheir to the throne.

The eldest daughter of Kings Carl Gustav and Silvia has chosen a classic piece that belonged to Victoria of Baden and that she received as a wedding gift from her parents, the Grand Dukes of Baden. It has 47 diamonds inspired by sun rays. She has combined it with a diamond bracelet and XXL teardrop-shaped pink topaz earrings. The dress, princess cut, in pale pink covered with a layer of dark tulle and a corseted bodice, sprinkled with small diamonds and leaving her shoulders exposed.

The princess sofiapregnant with her third child, accompanied the Prince Charles Philip with a vibrant blue dress, the same one in which she posed in a fashion publication on the occasion of her 40th birthday a few weeks ago and signed by Soeren Le Schmidt. The most striking thing was the neckline, with a rigid, pleated piece that displayed an elegant side layer. On her head, as always, the tiara that her in-laws gave her for her wedding and to which she has incorporated blue topazes for the occasion. Also Orrling earrings.

For its part, Madeleine from Sweden has opted for a striking green design embroidered with rhinestones with a bardot neckline and a long train of three-dimensional flowers signed by one of her favorite designers, Fadi el Khoury. The princess, who has returned to Stockholm after several years living in the United States due to the work of her husband, Christopher O’Neill, has chosen the Connaught diamond tiara, which Princess Margaret of Connaught received as a wedding gift in 1904.

The gala took place at the Stockholm Concert Hall, headquarters of the city’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The king presented the medal, the diploma and the monetary certificate that accredits the new Nobel Prize winners in Medicine (Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun), Physics (John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton), Chemistry (David Baker, Demis Hassabis and John Jumper ), Literature (Han Kang) and Economics (Simon Johnson, Daron Acemouglu and James Robinson). The Nobel Peace ceremony, which was awarded to the Japanese association of survivors of the atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Nihon Hidankyo, was awarded in the morning in Oslo, the capital of Norway.

After the ceremony, the Swedish Royal Family joined the more than a thousand guests to enjoy a cocktail in the Blue Room of Stockholm City Hall. Chef Jessie Sommarström was in charge of the menu, consisting of three dishes based on beet and apple, and Frida Bäcke made the desserts.
