From Tomás, to Hugo Sánchez

Four consecutive days has Raúl de Tomás meeting with the goal, seven in total of the 12 that have been played in Second. As many goals as Espanyol's 'top scorer' accumulates, almost double the four he scored in his first months with the blue and white jersey, and most of which have a peculiarity: the Madrid striker is becoming a scorer at the first touch.

In the wake of the endless challenge that he reached Hugo Sánchez with Real Madrid just three decades ago, and not because of the cartwheels but by scoring each and every one of your 38 targets in one touch, De Tomás has thus achieved five out of seven wearing this season. The only exceptions were the 0-2 against Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere, where he needed one more touch to settle the ball before kicking, and especially the 1-0 at the RCDE Stadium against Alcorcón. There yes, after receiving a center from Dídac Vilà, gave a recital of control, dribbling, temper and definition: up to six times he moved the ball in the small area before finishing.

The others, however, have been first-rate goals. Obviously, that's how el 0-1 against Oviedo, as he transformed it into a penalty. But also 1-0 against Ponferradina, with his left foot, after a stratospheric center from Sergi Darder. From that moment on, his great ally has been Adrián Embarba. Heading into the near post and with a traced script (only by changing the assist band) he overcame Málaga at 0-2 and made it 2-1 against Lugo, and finally with his right foot he pushed to goal the 0-1 in Fuenlabrada, last Saturday.

We can say that Only 13 touches, adding them all, have been enough for Raúl de Tomás to score seven goals in this Second Division, which if it continues like this would give a projection of between 24 and 25 goals at the end of the season without actually touching the ball even 50 times. A utopia, although with the 'pichichi' parakeet everything is possible.
