This Thursday, the National Library of Spain hosted the first edition of the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards. A display of elegance and trends that paraded down the fantastic staircase, dressed with a red carpet in the purest Hollywood style. The master of ceremonies Nieves Alvarez She was one of the first to arrive and left us speechless with an impressive dress by Redondo Brand, one of her favorite designers.
The 129 members of the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation, in tribute to the legacy of Cristóbal Balenciaga (who would turn 129 in 2024), have chosen the 40 nominees who compete to take home the statuette designed by Helena Rohner. One of the nominees was Nieves Álvarez, one of the most recognized top Spaniards in the world. The model appeared wrapped in a red two-piece with a bodice finished in a peplum with a pronounced neckline and bare shoulders that was completed with a large-volume skirt created with several ruffles in layers of tulle and a five-meter train. She has combined her style with the fantastic Bvulgari Serpenti necklace, one of the most iconic and exclusive of the brand.
Red has been one of the winners of the night although some of the tones have been slightly dull as they blend with the carpet itself. It has been the case of Hiba Aboukwhich has opted for the simplicity of a straight model with a side opening and a dropped-sleeve neckline signed by Moisés Nieto, or Eduardo Navarretewhich has attracted attention with a mix of textures from It Spain that did not lack anything: tulle, feathers and even patent leather.
Sea Flowers has joined the red list with a MALNE dress, made of a brocade fabric in fuchsia and red tones, with an asymmetrical design and adorned with handmade flowers of the same fabric.
They have combined it with white Nuria Marchwhich has opted for a floral print, and Agatha Ruiz de la Pradaclaiming the Andalusian mole.
In white, precisely, they have paraded Macarena Gomez (with a two-piece consisting of a lady-style dress and a hood with long sleeves), India Martinez (with strapless neckline minidress and asymmetrical tulle volume) or Pastora Soler (with a beautiful dress with an infinity neckline decorated with crystal mosaic on the shoulder pads and skirt).
Black, another must for any gala, has been the tone chosen by Laura Sanchez (with a daring appliqué dress signed by Duyos), Mar Saura (very sexy in an open lycra dress held by two gold hoops) or Raquel Sanchez Silva (fantastic with a rigid design by Isabel Sanchís).
In lilac and purple we have seen Maria Pombowith a delicate design by Redondo Brand, draped and asymmetrical, and the presenter Paula Vazquezwho wore an original Violeta Colection dress with a lycra top and paillette skirt.
Beautiful too Patricia Conde, in bluish gray with a mini dress filled with sequins and applications with a turtle neck, two XXL flowers and a train, signed by Baro Lucas. He has combined it with jewelry from Del Páramo Vintage.
Martha Sanchezvery sophisticated with a round neck brocade design and classic cut in copper color.
