From 16 gold lighters to 28 fountain pens: all the loot from María del Monte's robbery is revealed

When the criminal gang that attacked Maria del Monte e Immaculate Casal entered his home in Gines (Seville), he knew perfectly well what goods he should take. This was determined by the Civil Guard in the Abgena operation, which places Antonio Tejado, nephew of the folkloric, as the alleged “intellectual author” of the theft. The investigation indicates that it was he who informed the organization about the disposition of the assets that his aunt kept at home, valuable objects of which more details are now known.

The thieves took a total of 15,000 euros in cash, as well as numerous valuable objects. Among them, 14 watches totaling 166,000 euros, 28 fountain pens, 16 gold lighters and jewelry valued at around 100,000 euros. Also two Chanel wallets, a Loewe bracelet, a Montblanc briefcase, a Gastón and Daniela quilt and an iPhone and two smartwarch, as reported this Thursday Public Mirror.

A few hours after the assault, which occurred in the early hours of August 25, the gang sold a portion of the loot valued at 48,000 euros on the black market. In this way, part of the stolen material, which exceeded one million euros, fell into the hands of a receiver who had an extensive criminal resume, a detail that helped the Civil Guard locate the assets. The investigation took place for six months during which the agents tapped the phone of Antonio Tejado and the rest of the members of the organization.

In these calls, references were made to “counting and transformation or preparation of jewelry and other effects to be sold to third parties”. Some phrases were heard like: “I'm here with Manolín, Manolín has thrown out the other two, sell it to me, right?” Apparently, they were talking about a high-end watch.

The day the agents arrested Antonio Tejado, Saturday, February 10, they found bundles of bills, jewelry and a Manila shawl in his house – an item that does not appear in the list that the Antena 3 space published this Thursday. -. The singer and the journalist kept jewelry inherited from their mothers, bought with their savings as an investment, and watches in a safe. They recovered part of the watches after the seizure carried out by the Civil Guard to the perpetrators of the crime.
