The footballer, sentenced to four and a half years in prison for raping a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub, was released from prison this Monday around 4:30 p.m., after depositing the million euro bail set. A detail that has drawn attention about Alves’ release from prison is that the former Barcelona winger was not carrying a single bag. According to Mayka Navarro, he has left everything in prison: “The clothes that he has been accumulating in these 14 months, basically sports clothing, he has given away to all the prisoners and has distributed them among the different modules”. He has also left a fan and a television.

Among the conditions that the judge has imposed to obtain this conditional release is the bail of one million euros, the origin of which is unknown, although sources in the environment have assured that it does not come from the funds that the Treasury owes to the former Barça winger or from a banking entity.
