Freddy Rincón is still in “critical condition” and his evolution “has not been favourable”

MADRID, 13 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

Former Colombian soccer player Freddy Rincón is still in “critical condition” and his evolution in the last hours “has not been favorable” after the traffic accident he suffered at dawn last Monday in the city of Cali.

The former player, who played for Real Madrid in the 1995-1996 campaign, suffered a severe head injury after his vehicle collided with a bus and was already admitted to the Imbanaco Grupo Quirónsalud Clinic in a serious condition.

Rincón underwent emergency surgery for almost three hours and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, but his state of health has not improved, as indicated by the last part of the hospital center, which emphasizes that the former player “remains in the Intensive Care Unit Intensive and his prognosis remains very reserved.

“The patient continues in critical condition, with ventilatory and hemodynamic assistance and under permanent supervision, but his evolution has not been favorable,” added the clinic about the Colombian, who was an international with his country with which he participated in the 1990 World Cups, 1994 and 1998 and who also played for other clubs such as Napoli, Palmeiras and Corinthians.
