The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, visited this Tuesday the Antonio Hervás municipal baseball and softball stadium in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), and the indoor athletics track of Catalonia, located in Sabadell (Barcelona). .
Early in the morning, Francos met with the Councilor for Sports of the Barcelona City Council, David Escudé, to delve into the organization of the 2024 Copa América and the development of the candidacies for the 2029 World Athletics Championships. , the 2030 World Cup and the 2031 Ryder Cup.
In the afternoon, he visited the Antonio Hervás municipal baseball and softball stadium accompanied by the mayoress of Sant Boi, Lluisa Moret; the first deputy mayor, José Ángel Carcelén; and the Councilor for Sports Promotion, César Thovar. Francos had a meeting with the teams of the Sant Boi Baseball and Softball Club and with players from the Spanish team.
Afterwards, he went to Sabadell to visit the indoor athletics track of Catalonia. The Higher Sports Council was one of the institutions that invested in the renovation of this complex.
