Elche coach Francisco Rodríguez recognized Barça’s superiority in the first half this Saturday at the Camp Nou, but stressed that in the second they had their “option” to score in a clash that the young talent of the culé team showed.
“Barça was also right, they have placed Jordi Alba on the inside, a position that we had not controlled. I have not been able to correct that situation. We have changed in the second half and we have had more possibilities,” he said at a press conference.
The coach of the Elche team praised Gavi and a Barça with talent and future but not stars. “We have been talking that Barça was not at its best, that it did not have top world level players like Messi or Suárez, but we are talking about some players who will be in a few years, they show it on the field. Gavi is a fantastic player , unbalances the party, “he said.
“They are very young but with incredible creativity, with a huge future, they are not having a hit because they have had many chances to score. Barça will be up for sure but I don’t know in what position,” he added, before taking out the positive for his Elche.
