Elche have dismissed Fran Escribá as coach after the resounding defeat against Betis at Martínez Valero (0-3). The Valencian coach himself has been in charge of announcing that the club has notified him of the dismissal. Minutes later, Elche has confirmed his dismissal with an official statement.
“The president has not taken into account how much I have done for this club but he is the owner and can make the decision he wants. Hopefully they will be right with the replacement,” Escribá told the media after meeting with the leaders.
The poor results achieved in recent times have sentenced the coach.
