Fraikin Granollers accepts the invitation to play the next Champions League

BARCELONA, 8 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Fraikin Granollers has confirmed this Wednesday that it has “accepted” the invitation from the European Handball Federation (EHF) “to be eligible to play” in the next edition of the Champions League.

“As second place in the last Sacyr Asobal League, Fraikin BM Granollers had already secured their participation in the Europa League, but the EHF and the Royal Spanish Handball Federation have invited us to apply to play in the top continental competition”, said the Catalan club.

Now, BM Granollers is awaiting “the final resolution” on this request, which, if approved by the EHF, would cause it to play the ‘Champions’ for the first time, a competition in which the League champion has access , in this case Barça, who became champions for the twelfth time in a row.
