Foster children make visible in Spain-Northern Ireland the importance of offering a home

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Host girls and boys took to the field hand in hand with the Spanish players this Saturday in the friendly match against Northern Ireland at Mallorca Son Moix (5-1) to make visible the importance of offering a home, through the families of reception.

Thus, the children introduced millions of fans to the figure of the foster family, a possibility that allows providing a stable and structured home to the more than 52,000 children and adolescents who are in the protection system.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) wanted to make this social cause visible, through football and with the support of the national team players. In addition, through the Department of Equality, Social Responsibility and Sustainability, the federative body organized a Box 0 for Host Families, where they could enjoy the match.

These people represented the 2,500 Spanish families who have decided to offer a present and a future to children and adolescents who are in the social protection system.
