One year after having overcome cancer, the Canarian athlete has surprised all her followers with magnificent news: she is going to be a mother. She has announced it through a snapshot on social networks in which she poses with her girlfriend, the soccer player Olga Garciawhile holding a message: “Baby is coming. Junio 2023”.
“We wanted to announce that I am three months pregnant. It is already twelve weeks of tremendous joy to bring a new life into the world. Both Olga García, my partner, and I feel an enormous responsibility, it is a great pride for having taken this step and we I was excited to share it with all of you”, has written carla suarez next to the photograph.
The 34-year-old Canary Islander is three months pregnant and has already had her first routine ultrasound: “Fortunately, the medical team has confirmed that the pregnancy process is proceeding normally. This is fantastic news for us and fills us with hope for the near future”.
Carla and Olga began their relationship in 2016 and this pregnancy is a dream come true for both of them: “We hope that the pregnancy goes without complications and that the baby is in perfect condition. A new stage that we really wanted to live. We are going to expand the family! Excited and happy to face this great moment. Very soon we will be one more”.
Suárez, who was ranked sixth in the women’s tennis world ranking, retired at the end of 2021 after representing Spain in the Billie Jean King Cup and after having overcome Hodgkin’s lymphoma that was diagnosed during the summer of 2020.
