Former Brazilian coach Tite signs for Flamengo

BERLIN, Oct. 10 (dpa/EP) –

Former Brazilian coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi ‘Tite’ will lead Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo until December 2024, the Brazilian club has confirmed.

Tite was out of work since he left the Brazilian team after almost six years in charge after the elimination in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He will be Flamengo’s third coach this year. The Rio club was eliminated from the Libertadores in the round of 16 this season, and in the national league it is fifth, 11 points behind leader Botafogo with 12 games remaining.
