'Football belongs to everyone': Cornellà fans will design the shirt

In times of Superliga, the UE Cornellà, a club currently playing in Second B, is committed to “a football for all”. That is the message they have launched this Thursday through their networks to their fans and the general public, who will participate in an important decision for the entity, such as the design of the official shirt for next season, whose brand will be Patrick. Cornellà opens a contest for all fans to submit their proposal. The winner will have a prize.

Obviously, the Baix Llobregat club, which has the football field next to Espanyol, has laid the foundations to maintain the official colors. In the new shirt the color green should predominate, which should also have white details. The fans themselves, together with the club's members and grassroots football players (it has around 800), will choose the five best models, who will be the finalists. The deadline for submitting proposals is May 12.

It will be the club that decides which of these five finalist designs will be the winner, who will have the season ticket for free and a super pack of official clothing. There will also be prizes for all those who submit their design and meet the requirements even if it is not among the finalists. “This initiative vindicates the importance of fans of this sport”the club commented in its statement.

Currently, with 33 points, the UE Cornellà, which the previous year played in the playoff for promotion to Second A, is the leader of Group B of the second phase of Group III of Second B (a theorem that is mixed in that the next season will compete almost certainly in First RFEF, the third category, as now). This season, those from Baix Llobregat faced Barcelona in the Copa del Rey and were eliminated 0-2 in extra time.
