Five details you need to know about the 2023 Oscars gala

The 95th edition of the Oscars will be held this Sunday morning at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Cate Blanchett, Michelle Yeoh, Ana de Armas, Austin Butler, Colin Farrell o Brendan Fraserare among the nominees who will run the race to win the most prestigious statuette in cinema.

As we move forward, in Spain the gala can be followed live on Movistar Plus+, through the Estrenos 2 channel. The ceremony begins at 2, Spanish time, but from 11:30 a.m. we can enjoy the looks of the celebrities that will go through the carpet. Here are five things you need to know.

1. There will be no red carpet

For the first time in 60 years, the Hollywood Academy has decided that the path along which the professionals of the big screen parade is not red this time but rather champagne. “We asked our team for a team that would be good for day and night”, revealed the director of the Academy, Bill Kramer. And it seems that the champagne tone combines with the rest of the predominant colors of the theater, white and red.

2. The main performance

Rihanna will be in charge of entertaining the night.
