First official portraits of Frederick X and Mary of Denmark: the queen, in radiant white, looks like a bride

This Friday, January 19, the Danish Royal House distributed the first official portraits of Frederick X And his wife, Mary, which are part of the photographic series of the proclamation of the new king. From the session, which took place at Christiansborg Palace, three poses have been chosen. One of the images shows us the Kings, together, in front of the two thrones. The Queen, in white, looks like a bride on her wedding day.

The Christiansborg throne room was the setting chosen for the first official portraits, which were taken by photographer Dennis Stenild, as reported by the Royal House. The posing took place moments after the proclamation, which took place on the balcony of the castle last Sunday, January 14.

We see the Queen, impeccable and radiant in a white dress created by Soeren Le Schmidt and made by Birgit Hallstein. And therein lies its secret. Birgit Hallstein was also in charge of making her wedding dress, the design she wore in May 2024.. The Queen has resorted to this avant-garde romantic brand. The result is a modern, simple and minimalist creation.

In the other two images, the Kings appear with the heir to the throne, Christian, who poses with his hands behind his back; and the entire family, with their four children, Christian, Isabella, Vicent and Josephine.
